About Margaret
When I was three years old, I wanted to be an artist; my parents enrolled me at the Calgary Allied Arts Centre where I was exposed to wonderful artists and art shows. I loved it. My grandmothers were a huge influence teaching me how to knit, crochet, and sew. I loved making all sorts of things. Quilting and then art quilts were a natural progression. My life went full circle and I finally got my Fine Arts Degree from the Alberta College of Art and Design.
I love colour and curves. I want people to smile when they see my quilts. I have been juried into shows in Canada and the United States. Prizes include being Quilter of Distinction at the Heritage Park Festival of Quilts in Calgary. Currently, I am blessed to work full time in my own studio as well as teaching quilt classes and doing trunk shows.
