Poetry rings in our ears, we learn it at an early age, often singing/saying the words before any meaning is relevant. The challenge to the SPECTRA artists – to portray a poem visually. Will the viewer “see” the prose as the maker does? The written word, like visual art, changes with the heart of the viewer. Each artist has chosen a poem to display visually in fibre.
