About Nan

Although I trained as an engineer and had a 35 year career, I have always been fascinated by the artistic world and have always worked with fibre. The opportunity to live in Europe for 8 years gave me time to focus on my artwork. During this period, I studied under several extraordinary teachers and greatly expanded my knowledge and understanding of art, both historic and modern. I also began several ongoing series on the topics of Venice and the fossil record.

During this period in Europe, I was also fortunate enough to sell a number of artworks to private collectors and upon my return to Canada determined that I would start to exhibit my work more extensively.
